Gold Coast Neurointerventional Australian Fellows Course: The inaugural annual advanced trainees' course was successfully held at Gold Coast University Hospital from 13-15 May 2021.
 

The fellows experienced three full days of didactic lectures from national and world leaders in the field. They also received hands-on training with the latest neurovascular devices from Stryker, Medtronic, Microvention, and Balt, using Biomodex 3D-printed neurovascular models and Philips biplane angiography equipment.

The NeuTex Image Guided Therapy Surgical and Robotics Training Centre is conveniently located at the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct and provides a multitude of advanced training options using state of the art imaging systems and 3D printed anatomical models to precisely replicate the authentic operative environment. The centre trains visiting health care practitioners utilising the latest endovascular techniques for the treatment of brain aneurysms and complex neurovascular disorders. The centre is also optimised for training the full range of cardiovascular disorders and other image guided surgical specialties such as spinal surgery and orthopaedic surgery.
