Today we were proud to host a sod turn event to mark the commencement of construction of RDX, a $154 million 6-Star Green Star, life sciences Centre of Excellence building on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

We were pleased that Queensland’s Minister for Tourism, Innovation and Sport, The Hon. Stirling Hinchliffe, could join us alongside our Regional CEO Craig Mitchell and representatives from City of Gold Coast, Gold Coast University Hospital, Economic Development Queensland (EDQ), Griffith University and other important RDX and precinct partners to discuss the significant intersection between research, innovation, healthcare and clinical training, facilitated by the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.

We will be proud to have world-leading experts Doctors Hal Rice and Laetitia de Villiers in RDX once complete, to operate the Philips multi-million-dollar Azurion image-guided therapy system. The surgical and robotics training centre in RDX will be the first in the world outside a hospital to offer specialised training in image-guided therapies.
